Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use piledltd.co.uk, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep things simple: this is a small business website with a contact form, an optional email list, and links to our shops and social profiles.
Who we are
This website is operated by PILED LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site.

What we collect
We only collect personal data when you choose to give it to us:
- Contact form — your name, email address, and message.
- Email list signup — your email address only.
We do not operate user accounts, comments, checkout, or advertising on this website. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
To reduce spam, our forms may briefly process a hashed record of your IP address in temporary server files. We do not store your full IP address in our signup list.
How we use your data
- Contact enquiries — to read and respond to your message. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in handling customer and business enquiries.
- Email list — to send newsletters, product news, event updates, and related information about PILED3D. Our lawful basis is your consent when you sign up.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell your personal data.
Contact form
When you submit the contact form, your details are sent to us by email so we can reply. A copy is also saved in a private file on our web server, stored outside the publicly accessible website folder, in case email delivery fails. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
Email list
When you sign up, your email address is saved in a private file on our web server, stored outside the publicly accessible website folder. Access is limited to us.
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your email address with third parties for their marketing. If we use an email delivery service in future, we will only use providers that process data on our instructions and keep this policy updated.
You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in our emails or by contacting admin@piledltd.co.uk. We will remove you from the list promptly.
Links and embedded content
Our site links to third-party websites such as Etsy, eBay, social networks, and 3D model platforms. If you follow those links, their privacy policies apply — not ours.
We also embed a Steam store widget. Embedded content may behave as if you visited Steam directly. Steam may collect data and use cookies under its own policy: Steam Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set analytics, advertising, or login cookies. Our own forms do not require cookies to work.
Third-party embeds (such as Steam) may set cookies if you interact with them. Your browser may also store clipboard permissions if you use the “copy email” button in our footer; that stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Where data is stored
Our website is hosted in the United Kingdom. Email list data, contact form copies, and website files are kept on our hosting provider’s servers. Contact form messages are also delivered to our email inbox, which may be handled by our email provider.
How long we keep data
- Email list — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
- Contact form messages — for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for ordinary business record-keeping.
- Spam-prevention records — short-term temporary files, typically cleared within hours.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have rights under data protection law, including the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances;
- withdraw consent for the email list at any time;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- request portability of data you provided to us.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@piledltd.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe we have handled your data unlawfully: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data, including keeping signup data outside the public web folder, limiting access to our systems, and using reputable UK hosting and email providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce unnecessary risk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our website or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Significant changes may also be mentioned on our homepage or in our newsletter where appropriate.
